These terms govern your use of the Live Caption Chrome extension, the Desktop Companion, and the related cloud services available at audiocaptions.com. By installing or using the software you agree to them.
Who you are contracting with
Live Caption is operated by Fatih Özdil, Kayseri, Türkiye, contactable at support@audiocaptions.com. Subscriptions are sold by Lemon Squeezy as the merchant of record, so your payment contract for the subscription is with Lemon Squeezy, while these terms govern your use of the software itself. These terms are governed by the laws of Türkiye, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights you hold in your country of residence.
The service
Live Caption provides best-effort automated captions, translation, transcript storage, and related software. Machine-generated captions and translations can be inaccurate. Do not use them as the sole basis for medical, legal, emergency, safety-critical, or other high-stakes decisions.
Software license
Subject to these terms and a valid entitlement where required, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to install and use the unmodified extension and Companion for personal or internal business use. You may not redistribute, sell, rent, circumvent access controls in, or create derivative works from the software except where applicable law does not permit that restriction. Third-party components remain governed by their own licenses.
Your account
You are responsible for access to your email account and devices. You may not abuse trials, bypass quotas, interfere with the service, use it unlawfully, or attempt to extract service credentials.
Subscriptions and allowances
The one-day trial begins after the first successful account verification and does not require a card. Paid plans renew for the selected interval until cancelled. Cloud transcription and translation include stated usage allowances; additional use may require waiting for renewal or purchasing an add-on if offered. Checkout, taxes, receipts, refunds, and payment disputes are handled by the merchant of record subject to applicable consumer law. Refunds and cancellation are described in full in our refund policy.
Your content
You keep ownership of your transcript content. You grant us the limited permission necessary to process content you submit to cloud transcription, translation, or sync. You must have the right to capture and process the audio or media you use, including any consent required by local law.
Availability and changes
We may update the extension, Companion, models, providers, limits, and supported platforms. We aim to communicate material paid-plan changes in advance where required. Temporary interruption may occur for maintenance, security, provider failure, or events outside our control.
Cancellation and deletion
You can cancel renewal from the billing portal. Access continues until the end of the paid period unless applicable law requires otherwise. Cloud account deletion may be delayed while an active subscription or legally required record remains. Local extension data must be removed separately.
